Ghana International Airlines flies both passenger and cargo services flights. It provides multiple weekly flights from
Accra to London. Continental Airlines united with GIA to offer airline passengers connecting
flights to the majority of United States cities. This is provided through
London Gatwick Airport.
It is owned by the Ghanaian government (70%) and US consortium (GIA-USA) (30%)
and has 168 employees (at March 2008). A country gifted with natural resources - namely gold, timber, and cocoa - Ghana
is one of the wealthier West African nations.
